  • Alpine Skills International- Provides avalanche safety training, mountaineering courses, trips, and guiding in Donner Pass and worldwide.
  • American Association of Avalanche Professionals - The AAAP is a professional organization engaged in the study, forecasting, control and mitigation of snow avalanches. The site provides mission statement, membership information and contacts.
  • Avalanche Mapping - An educational non-profit project to create and share digital avalanche data with backcountry explorers.
  • Canadian Avalanche Association - Canadian avalanche forecasts, provides avalanche training courses for the public and offers updates on danger levels in Western Canada.
  • Colorado Avalanche Information Center - (CAIC), the snow avalanche forecasting and education center for the state of Colorado.
  • Cyberspace Snow and Avalanche Center - Current and historic avalanche records, reference and safety items, photos and movies, news, statistics and avalanche accounts.  Sale of Tee-Shirts, Tranceivers, Shovels, Probes, Books, Videos and Snow Study Materials.
  • Forest Service National Avalanche Center  - The site is still under construction, but promises education, research,  and technology for professionals and to the public through classes, videos, and information.
  • Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center - Current Advisories for Southwest Montana, Avalance Education information, Observations, Annual Reports, Articles, Weather, and Links.
  • Jackson, Wyoming - Bridger-Teton National Forest Backcountry Avalanceh Hazard & Weather Forecast.
  • Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center - Promotes public safety by helping reduce the impact of snow, avalanches and adverse mountain weather on transportation, industry and recreation.
  • Norwegian Geotechnical Engineering - Research / Development and advisory services in snow avalanche hazard, geotechnics, engineering geology reservoir mechanics hydrogeology and environmental geotechnics.
  • NOVA: Avalanche! - PBS explores the science of natural disasters.
  • Ortovox- Sales of packs, tranceivers, clothing, and safety accessories.
  • Sierra Avelanche Center - The U.S. Forest Service's Truckee Ranger Station information, with current information, hazard ratings explanation, snowpack, Reno/Tahoe weather, and links to other relevant sites.
  • Swiss Federal Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research - A branch of the Swill Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research providing links to general and current snow / avalanche information, courses and events, publications and library sites.
